Our profile
The team at the Department of Dental Materials and Biomaterials Research conducts research in the field of 3D tissue engineering. The work focuses on the development of novel 3D tissue models. Novel biofabrication methods such as 3D bioprinting are used in the production process. Customised hydrogels are used as matrices for the cells. The in vitro models can be used to investigate as yet unexplained physiological and pathological mechanisms. Such 3D models are also used to screen new drug candidates. Due to the interdisciplinary nature of the topic, scientists from various disciplines work together in our team on a transdisciplinary basis.
Your tasks
- You will work in an S1 cell culture laboratory
- Together with your team colleagues, you will develop new cell culture protocols and cell biology methods
- With your ideas, you will contribute to the design of new research projects in the field of tissue engineering and to the acquisition of additional third-party funding with corresponding applications
- You will be encouraged to contribute to scientific publications and present results at national and international conferences
- You will also support the engineering doctoral students in the working group with cell biology issues
Your profile
- You have successfully and quickly completed your Master's degree in cell biology or biotechnology
- You will then have acquired extensive specialist knowledge in the field of tissue engineering as part of your completed doctorate
- You have at least three years of practical experience in an S1 cell culture laboratory
- Your scientific publications show that you can carry out research projects successfully and with scientific depth
- In addition to your professional qualifications, you are characterized by a high degree of determination and resilience as well as excellent teamwork skills
- You have a very good command of written and spoken German and English
