R&D Laboratory Technician (m/f/d)

TOPTICA Photonics, Inc. is the North American subsidiary of TOPTICA Photonics, SE, a global manufacturer of high-performance laser systems used in demanding applications in science and industry. We are seeking a qualified Laser Technology R&D Laboratory Technician to work within the R&D team on a wide range of projects. This position will challenge candidates with tasks in hands-on work with lasers and optics, automation and motion control, data acquisition and interfacing, data analysis and report generation, and a variety of other tasks as required

What can you expect in the role of an R&D Laboratory Technician?

Collaboration within the R&D team on a wide range of laboratory tasks related to new product development of lasers and optical components
Optical alignment of lasers and optical systems
Data acquisition and analysis in support of measurement campaigns
Report generation

Must-haves: What you’ll need for this role

Prior experience handling and working with optics
Experience with Altium
Prior experience with machine vision
Experience with SolidWorks
